Beaker.
About half restored.
Slightly concave underside with groove around edge. Deep body. Lower three-fourths decorated with evenly spaced groups of five vertical grooves, increasingly shorter at right in each group. Upper wall plain above horizontal groove. Low rim, concave to inside. Soft, light brownish gray fabric (2.5YR 6/2) with small white and larger black inclusions and a little mica; dull black glaze outside to about 1.5 cm. from bottom and on inside of rim, mostly missing.
Small fragments with similar decoration: P 19857 and, in a different fabric, 1549, both from D 17. Shape similar to brittle-ware barbotine beaker P 19275.
