Floral Knob.

Five petals missing and something broken away at top.

Irregularly grooved, solid stem. Traces of glaze on lower break, where stem was attached to vessel. Small cup with scored edge in center of flower, with some element within it broken away. This rests on cushion with nineteen radiating grooves. One large petal with striations preserved, flanked by two small, plain petals; probably originally four large petals alternating with small petals. Shiny black glaze on stem only; traces of miltos on cushion of flower.
