Rim and base fragments.

Basin with overhanging moulded rim; a little of circular base (not illustrated). Corinthian tile fabric; smooth buff slip on rim and floor, the exterior less carefully finished. Grit added on floor. No trace of glaze decoration.

Cf. the more elaborate profiles of 1859 and 1860. Others similar to 1861, but with traces of glaze decoration, from contexts of the early 4th century: P 20451 D 17:6; P 24252.
